The Condensation Chamber – 1994
The Condensation Chamber was commissioned by the Experimental Art Foundation for the 600,000 Hours exhibition as part of an international conference on death in 1994. The work produced was a video installation filmed in a 1940s film noir aesthetic. Couples of androgynous appearance with short shaven hair fashionable at that time were choreographed to complete a simple action of an embrace and then departure. Cinematography was by James Kalisch.
